Good evening to everyone.

It’s a great honor and beautiful feeling to stand here with this amazing trophy. First of all I would like to give congratulations to Mohamed and Cristiano for great season that they had. (Audiences applauding). And I’m sure in the future you will have another opportunity to fight for this trophy.

This trophy is not just mine. It’s for all my Real Madrid teammates, for my teammates from Croatia national team, for our coaches that they had played for. Without them this would not be possible. And thank you a lot. To them.

This trophy is also for my family, without whom I will not be the player and person that I am. They are my the best. (Audiences shouting Luka) (Audiences shouting Luka you’re the best)

And thanks to my fans all over the world, for the great support and love they are showing me. All these things mean a lot to me. I would like to also thank to those who voted or me. And in this moment, in this particular moment I would like to mention my football league idol, and captain of Croatia, generation 1998 that in their first participation won Bronze in France. He was my biggest inspiration, and that team gave us belief that we can achieve something great in Russia. And hopefully we can be the same for the next generations.

And this award shows that we can all become the best with hard work, dedication, and belief. All dreams can come true.
